Gusty winds prompt special weather statement

Gusty winds have prompted Environment Canada to issue a special weather statement for Chatham-Kent and London-Middlesex.

Wind gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour are expected beginning Sunday evening, continuing into Monday morning. The weather agency said during this time, minor damage to trees, and localized power outages are also possible.

Those living closest to the shorelines will likely experience stronger winds, meteorologists said the winds will be strongest along the shore of Lake Erie.
