CK police arrest four people wanted on warrants

The long arm of the law has caught up with four more people who were wanted on outstanding warrants in Chatham-Kent.

Police said one of them is a 39-year-old man who officers caught up with while they were checking on the well-being of a man on Queen Street in Chatham Thursday afternoon.

A 29-year-old man who was also wanted by police was arrested Thursday afternoon by an officer on general patrol in the area of AD Shadd Road in Merlin.

A 21-year-old woman who was wanted on an outstanding warrant was arrested Thursday night by an officer on general patrol who spotted her in the area of Martina Court in Chatham.

And a 23-year-old woman who was wanted by police was arrested in the area of James Street in Wallaceburg Thursday night.

All four of the accused were later released with future court dates.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
