Driver charged following motor vehicle collision 

A 35-year-old Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge after crashing his vehicle near Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Police said through investigation officers believed the driver to have been impaired by a drug.

He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, charged, and later released with a future court date on December 29.

Police arrest break and enter suspect in Chatham

A 31-year-old female is facing several charges after breaking into a residence on Wellington Street in Chatham.

Police said the female was located a short time after and charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and mischief under $5,000.

She was taken to police headquarters and held for bail.

Male and female arrested for failing to comply with conditions 

A 34-year-old male and a 32-year old female were arrested after being caught together at a residence on Brock Street in Chatham.

Police said the male was known to be on conditions not to associate or communicate with the female.

Both were arrested and taken to police headquarters and later released with future court dates.

Male arrested on outstanding warrant 

A 33-year-old man has been arrested after police caught him in the area of Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg.

He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
