Children's Armoury in Lights show cancelled due to wind damage

It’s lights out for what was supposed to be a festive celebration for the Children's Treatment Centre (CTC-CK) light show at the Chatham Armouries.

Due to the severe weather on Saturday, the Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent's Armoury in Lights show has been cancelled.

The show was scheduled to take place Sunday, December 12 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

CTC-CK Executive Director Donna Litwin said the wind storm caused significant damage to their equipment and site.

"This unfortunately has created a huge safety hazard to viewers and show personnel," said Litwin. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are terribly sorry to our families that were looking forward to the show tonight."

Dog Days Food Truck will be dropping off cookies at the centre tomorrow. Litwin said families are welcome to stop in throughout the week to pick up some cookies and extra holiday treats.
