LPH reports 20 new COVID cases, one more death

Lambton Public Health reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday.

The health unit also reported 30 more resolved cases in its daily update and one more death, lowering the number of active infections by 11 to 149.

On Monday, Bluewater Health reported the latest death linked to the virus was a Lambton area man in his 60s. Since March 2020, there have been 4,703 confirmed cases, 4,475 recoveries and 79 related deaths.

There are nine active outbreaks, seven of which are at unnamed workplaces.

Bluewater Health has 14 COVID-positive patients in hospital, down one from Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
