Call about man acting erratic leads to drug arrest

A 24-year-old man is facing charges after Chatham-Kent police responded to reports of a man acting erratically in Wallaceburg.

Police said the man was found to have an outstanding warrant and arrested.

While being searched during the arrest, police said the man was found with suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.

 The man was processed and released with a future court date as the warrant was endorsed.

Man arrested on an outstanding warrant 

A 38-year-old Chatham man, known to police in Chatham-Kent, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a break and enter after being spotted by an officer on patrol Friday.

Police said the man was released with a future court date.

Single-vehicle crash leads to impaired driving charge 

A 27-year man is facing an impaired charge after police responded to a motor vehicle crash in Chatham Friday.

Police said the man failed a screening device test at the crash site and was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

He was taken to police headquarters for breath tests, which resulted in two breath samples over the legal limit.

Police said the man was released with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
