LPH reports nearly 300 new cases of COVID-19

In its first update since Friday, December 24,  Lambton Public Health reported 298 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Monday.

There were 81 more cases deemed as resolved over the two days, increasing the active case count by 217 to 503.

There are 12 outbreaks, up one, and the death toll is unchanged at 80.

Since the pandemic began in March 2020, there have been 5,194 confirmed cases of the virus in Sarnia-Lambton, and 4,611 recoveries.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
