Multiple COVID-19 cases added in Midwestern Ontario Friday

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reports 18 residents hospitalized with COVID-19. 48 new cases of the virus were added in Wellington County Friday.

Huron Perth Public Health added 65 new cases Friday, and reported six hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added 53 new cases of COVID-19 across the region Friday. Six residents are in hospital with the virus.

Across Ontario, the province reports a record 2,472 patients in hospital with COVID-19. 338 of the hospitalized patients are in intensive care units, and 232 are either not fully vaccinated or won't say.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
