COVID-19 claims more lives in Midwestern Ontario

The death toll due to COVID-19 is growing in Midwestern Ontario.

Huron Perth Public Health reports the number of fatalities due to COVID-19 is now 78. That's up from 76 reported last week.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit says 27 residents have now succumbed to the virus. At the end of last week,  25 residents were reported to have died from COVID-19.

In Wellington County, the death toll increased from 39 to 41 from the virus.

Ontario added 46 net new virus-related deaths Wednesday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
