Snowy start to the week for southern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for most of southern Ontario.

Sarnia-Lambton, Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, London-Middlesex, Oxford, and Elgin counties could see 5-10 centimetres of snow on Monday.

"An Alberta Clipper will impact the region on Monday with snow which may be heavy at times," the weather agency warned.

"Snow is expected to develop from west to east Monday morning and afternoon dissipating overnight," they added.

Driving could be hazardous during this time.

"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas," Environment Canada said.
