Complaint about a suspicious person leads to drug charge

A 39-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after he was found breaching his probation order by attending a business on Grand Avenue West.

Police said the man, who was known to be subject to a probation order to not attend the business, was arrested for breaching his order.

The man was also found to be in possession of suspected meth.   He was charged and released with a future court date.

Police find man drunk and asleep behind the wheel 

A 45-year-old Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge after police found him asleep behind the wheel at a business on Queen Street.

Officers say the man was arrested and taken to headquarters where he registered breath samples exceeding the legal limit.

He was charged and later released from custody with a future court date.

Woman arrested on outstanding warrant 

A 26-year-old woman, who was known to have an outstanding warrant, was arrested after officers saw her in the area of Murray Street in Chatham.

She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
