33 new COVID cases recorded in Sarnia-Lambton

In its daily update Sunday, Lambton Public Health reported 33 new lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton.

There were 32 cases deemed resolved, increasing the number of known active infections by one to 205.

The number of active outbreaks in the community remains at five, and the death toll is unchanged at 120.

There have been 9,445 confirmed cases of the virus since the pandemic began in March 2020, of which 9,120 have been deemed resolved.

There are 13 COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, up three from Saturday, one is in intensive care.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
