Canada wins second gold at Winter Olympics

Canada has won another gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Beijing, and it was on the speed skating track.

Valerie Maltais, Ivanie Blondin, and Isabelle Weidemann took the top of the podium in the women's team pursuit. The team finished up in record time, two minutes 53.44 seconds.

Japan had a slight lead entering the final turn, but one of their skaters crashed.

Weidemann's won two other medals at the Games. She picked up a silver in the 5,000 metres and bronze in the 3,000 metres.

Meanwhile, Max Parrot won a bronze medal in the men's big air snowboarding event.

Canada has 17 medals now, two gold, four silver, and 11 bronze.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
