Two more COVID deaths in SL

Over one-third of Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-related deaths have been reported in 2022.

Lambton Public Health reported two deaths Tuesday morning, bringing the total to 126 -- 43 have been reported this year.  The health unit said the individuals were in their 70s and 80s and that they died in hospital.

There have been 9,664 cases tallied  during the pandemic, including 9,415 resolved.

There are 123 active infections, down from a high 1,493 last month. There are three active outbreaks in the community.

Sarnia's Bluewater Health had seven COVID-positive patients in hospital -- no patients were in the ICU.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
