Woman arrested for assault

A 42-year-old Chatham woman wanted on an outstanding warrant has been charged following a disturbance in Chatham.

Police said an argument between a man and a woman escalated into an alleged fight on Third Street on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, assault, and uttering threats.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a Wallaceburg man for allegedly being in possession of counterfeit money.

Police said officers stopped a vehicle on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg Sunday night for a traffic violation and allegedly discovered approximately $2,500 in Canadian cash believed to be counterfeit.

The 43-year-old Wallaceburg man was given a traffic ticket and charged with possession of counterfeit money.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
