Early morning fire in Wallaceburg ruled accidental

The damages are estimated at $200,000 and the cause is going down as accidental after a fire in Wallaceburg just after midnight.

Fire officials said they were called to the scene on Bruce Street at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and firefighters were able to put the flames out quickly.

There were no injuries reported and firefighters said working smoke alarms helped to alert people in the home to get out safely.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
