LPH reports two more COVID-related deaths

Lambton Public Health is reporting two more deaths linked to COVID-19.

In its update Wednesday, the health unit reported that since the start of the pandemic there have been 128 related deaths locally.

The health unit said one individual in their 90s passed away at a local nursing home, the other individual was in their 60s.

There have been 43 more lab confirmed cases reported since Monday, for a total of 9,957 since March 2020.

There are seven COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, up from less than five Monday. There is one patient confirmed to have the virus in intensive care.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
