Wallaceburg man arrested in parking lot

A 31-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after police allegedly found some stolen property on him while they were following up on a call about a suspicious person.

Chatham-Kent police said they found the man in a parking lot on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg at around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The accused was arrested, charged with theft and possession of stolen property, and later released with a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
