Grey Bruce Health Unit ends daily COVID-19 reports

The Grey Bruce Health Unit issued its final situation report this week.

The final situation report showed 52 residents have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. It also confirmed seven residents were hospitalized for treatment of the novel coronavirus.

Local outbreaks will still be posted on the health unit's website. There are currently nine outbreaks due to COVID-19.

Just over 75% of the total population has two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The health unit states that as COVID-19 becomes more manageable and predictable, we are shifting from a pandemic to an endemic.

Public health is also urging people to still mask when necessary, get vaccinated and practice good public health measures.
