Dresden man charged with assault after causing a disturbance with family

A 25-year-old Dresden man is facing charges for breaching the peace and assault after allegedly causing a disturbance with other family members.

Police said they attended an address in Dresden and arrested the man. He was brought to police headquarters and held until he was sober.

He was later released with a future court date.

Pair arrested on separate outstanding warrants 

A 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman, who was wanted by police for failing to attend court, was arrested after being located in Lambton County.

Police said the woman was returned to Chatham-Kent and was taken to police headquarters.

She was held for bail.

In a separate matter, a warrant was issued for a 58-year-old Chatham man in December for allegedly failing to comply with his previous release order.

Police said he was located Sunday and arrested for his warrant.

He was held for bail.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
