UPDATE: One arrested following early morning incident near Wheatley

Essex County provincial police say one person has been arrested after an early morning incident near Wheatley.

Police had closed off Mersea Road between Kildeer Road and East Beach Road in Leamington for about an hour Saturday morning.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).  Anonymous online messages can be sent at www.catchcrooks.com where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
