LPH monitoring three COVID outbreaks

Lambton Public Health continues to monitor three active outbreaks of COVID-19.

All three outbreaks are at long-term care homes, Trillium Villa, Vision Nursing Home and Lambton Meadowview Villa.

Outbreaks previously declared at Fairwinds Lodge Retirement Home and Ryan's House in Sarnia have ended.

In its update Wednesday, the health unit reported 34 new lab confirmed infections since Monday's report, for a total of 10,839 since the start of the pandemic.

There are 11 COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, down from 15 on Tuesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
