St. Clair College students organize charity walk for cancer

It's a chance to get outside, get some exercise, and contribute to charity.

Students from the St. Clair College Event Management program have organized the Windsor River Walk a five-kilometre walk with proceeds going directly to The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.

The event is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Dieppe Gardens.

Participants of all ages and abilities, and even dogs, are invited to join the walk along the riverside through Centennial Park, under the Ambassador Bridge, ending at Dieppe Park.

Registration is $5 for participants aged 4-12 and $15 for those 13 and over and can be done on this website. More information about the walk can be found on the event's Facebook page.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
