Locals run well at Boston Marathon

A couple of runners from Chatham-Kent have completed the 2022 Boston Marathon.

For the first time since the pandemic hit, the runners were able to easily travel to the U.S. for the marathon in person.

Wallaceburg’s Joe Perry crossed the finish line in three hours, 20 minutes, and four seconds.

Perry placed 7,771 overall and 591 in his division.

Krista Cranston from Chatham finished in three hours, 38 minutes and 48 seconds.

Cranston placed 12,733 overall and 682 in her division.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
