Drone, handguns found along St. Clair River

Lambton OPP officers found 11 handguns attached to a large drone that was stuck in a tree near Port Lambton.

Police were called to the area of the St. Clair River on Friday, April 29 at around 8:30 a.m.

Attached to the drone was a bag containing the weapons, which investigators believe were coming from the United States.

Police seized the handguns for further investigation. St. Clair Township Fire Department assisted in removing the drone from the tree.

The investigation is ongoing and police said updates will be provided when they become available.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
