Maroons players named to All-Star team

It's been a great year for the Chatham Maroons, and a couple of players were honoured for their outstanding seasons.

The Western Conference All-Star and All-Rookie teams were announced by the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) on Tuesday, May 3.

Forwards Lucas Fancy and Cameron Symons were named to the All-Star team. They were first and second in total points for the Maroons with 65 and 59 points respectively this season.

Chatham defenceman Noah Szabo was named to the All-Rookie team. He had an impressive first season for the Maroons as he tied for the team lead in points by a defenceman with 29, including 23 assists.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
