Suspect sought after man stabbed near Black Bridge trail

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a man who is alleged to have stabbed another man near the Black Bridge trail.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Police were called to the trail near Stanley Avenue for an assault. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a stab wound. He was later taken to Windsor Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police continue to investigate and are searching for a suspect described as a White man in his early to mid-twenties, approximately 5'7"-5"9", with an average build. He is said to have been wearing all dark clothing, jeans, a hat, dark coloured fanny pack, and a black balaclava-style mask.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
