Outbreak over at Lambton Meadowview Villa

A COVID-19 outbreak at a Petrolia nursing home has ended.

Lambton Public Health declared an outbreak at Lambton Meadowview Villa on April 7. A total of 68 residents and over 12 staff members tested positive for the virus over the five weeks.

There are two active outbreaks in the community at congregate living settings.

The health unit reported 30 new lab confirmed cases since Friday's update.

Since the pandemic started, there have been 11,784 infections locally and 146 deaths.

There are eight COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, none of whom are in the ICU.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
