Daily average COVID case count below 10

Lambton Public Health is reporting a daily average of less than 10 cases of COVID-19.

The average number of cases over the last seven days has dropped to nine from 14 last Friday.

The health unit reported 21 new lab confirmed cases of the virus since Wednesday, for a total of 11,821 since the start of the pandemic.

The death toll is unchanged at 146.

There are five COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health.

Both Lambton Public Health and Bluewater Health will not be issuing COVID updates on Monday due to the holiday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
