LPH reports drop in average daily COVID cases

The daily average number of COVID-19 cases locally continues to drop.

In its update Friday, Lambton Public Health reported the daily average number of cases over seven days is six, down from nine a week ago.

The health unit reported 18 more lab confirmed infections since Wednesday's update, for a total of 11,866 since March 2020.

There is one active outbreak at Country Manor Estates Retirement Home in Lambton Shores.

There are seven COVID-positive patients at Bluewater Health, none of them in the ICU.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
