UPDATE: Police make arrest after aggravated assault in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest following an investigation into an aggravated assault near downtown Tilbury earlier this month.

Police said that on Friday, June 10 a male, young offender who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

The incident took place at around 11 p.m. on Monday, June 6 at the intersection of Queen Street and Louise Street.

Officers said the victim suffered a serious, life-threatening injury while the suspect fled south on Queen Street toward the downtown area.
