Two sent to hospital due to structure fire in CK

UPDATE: Busy weekend for CK firefighters

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services (CKFES) has dispatched several stations to battle a fire on Pain Court Line.

The fire department has asked the public to avoid the area. Residents in the surrounding area of Pain Court Line, St. Bernadette Street, and Bear Line are advised to close windows and doors due to heavy smoke and high winds.

At this time, two people have been transported to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
