Large crowds are expected on Windsor's riverfront for the first time in two years as the Ford Fireworks get underway on Monday night.
Hundreds of thousands of people have congregated along the Detroit River in past years to watch the largest display in the region.
For the past two years, spectators were discouraged from going downtown for the fireworks. Instead, they were televised on Detroit station WDIV. They'll be televised again, but Monday night, the public is welcome to enjoy the spectacle in person.
The show gets underway at 9:55 p.m.
Windsor Police said a number of streets downtown will close at 6 p.m. including Ouellette Avenue between Wyandotte Street and Riverside Drive, and Riverside Drive from Devonshire Road to the Ambassador Bridge.

Those who go are encouraged to keep the car at home. Each year, city streets are packed with vehicles creating long delays.
Transit Windsor is offering a free shuttle service from Devonshire Mall to City Hall Square starting at 6 p.m. Afterwards, the bus will pick up residents immediately after the show until midnight. The bus stop is beside Windsor Arena at the corner of Wyandotte Street West and McDougall Avenue.
Masking is a must if you ride the bus.
If you ride your bike, the Windsor Bicycling Committee is offering free bike parking at Charles Clark Square from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Cyclists can lock their bikes in a supervised corral.
This year's theme is "Hey Detroit, The Sky Shines For You!"
The rain date is Tuesday, June 28th.
