Chatham retiree matches six of seven to take home $100K prize

A 74-year-old retiree from Chatham is planning to take a nice vacation after scoring a big lotto win.

The OLG said Homer Martin bought a ticket for the June 3, 2022 LOTTO MAX draw that matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order, winning him $100,000.

"I went back to the same store I purchased the ticket -- when I scanned it, I was in total disbelief," said Martin, when he was picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. "It's amazing. I feel numb."

Martin told OLG officials he plans to put his winnings toward a vacation and share some with his children.

The winning ticket was purchased at Mac's on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.
