Woman Charged with Assault and Resist Arrest

A 39-year-old Chatham woman has been arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest after police responded to a disturbance in downtown Chatham.

Police said the incident took place on King Street Wednesday morning.

Investigators reported a woman went to an address on King Street and threw a cup of coffee at another woman and when officers arrived she became resistive.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
