UPDATE: Eastbound 401 reopened in Tilbury

A section of Highway 401 is open again after a crash shut it down on Friday.

Around 2:30 p.m. Friday, OPP reported that the eastbound lanes of the highway were closed at Queen's Line in Tilbury following a collision.

As of 10:20 p.m., Friday, the highway remains closed between Exit 48 at Highway 77 and Exit 63 at Queens Line. The on-ramps to the eastbound side are also closed at Exit 56/Mill Street.

It reopened just before 6 a.m. on Saturday.

Few details have been provided by the OPP however, reports posted on social media indicate that a transport truck overturned at a construction site in the area.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
