Break and enter under investigation

Chatham-Kent Police say sometime overnight on Friday, July 15, someone entered a construction trailer and took $3,500 worth of power tools.

Police are looking for at least one suspect.

Bicycle theft leads to man wanted on arrest warrant

While investigating the theft of a bicycle on Friday morning, Chatham-Kent Police officers arrested a man wanted on a warrant for his arrest.

Officers were investigating a break-and-enter at an address on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.

They were able to identify the suspect, and found him a short time later not too far away.

While arresting the suspect, they realized he was already wanted.

A 28-year-old Chatham man faces a count of possession of property obtained by crime and was released with a future court date.

Man arrested for warrants

Chatham-Kent Police arrested a second man wanted on a warrant for his arrest in Wallaceburg.

They found the man around 3:46 a.m. on Saturday.

The 44-year-old was releaesd with a future court date in August.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
