Daily COVID cases on the rise

The average daily number of COVID-19 infections in Sarnia-Lambton has increased.

Lambton Public Health is reporting an average of 10 confirmed cases a day over the last week, up from seven a week ago.

Since the last report, the health unit recorded 69 lab confirmed cases, for a total of 12,175 since the start of the pandemic.

There are two active outbreaks at long-term care homes, Rosewood Retirement Village and North Lambton Lodge.

There are seven COVID patients at Bluewater Health.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
