Collision leads to impaired driving charge 

A 47-year-old Tupperville woman is facing an impaired driving charge following a single-vehicle collision in Dover Township.

Chatham-Kent police were called to the scene on Mud Creek Line around 7:18 p.m. Sunday and found the woman to be speaking with displayed signs of intoxication.

Police said the driver was arrested and taken in for further tested which revealed a blood alcohol level that exceeded the legal limit.

The woman was charged and later released from custody with a future court date.

Man charged with theft, drug possession 

A 48-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges after being located by police while in possession of a stolen bike and some drugs.

Chatham-Kent police were called to an address on Grand River Line in Chatham after the man was allegedly seen going onto the property and riding away with a bike.

Police said the man was located a short time later and arrested. While being searched, police said the man was also found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.

He was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, and drug possession.

The man was later released from custody with a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
