One dead after motorcycle collision in Orford Township

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal crash in Orford Township on Saturday night involving a motorcycle.

Emergency crews were called to a serious motor vehicle collision on Orford Road just south of Selton Line around 10:27 p.m.

According to police, the driver of the motorcycle was travelling northbound on Orford Road when he left the roadway and struck a large tree. The driver was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Family members were notified and the name of the driver is not being released at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
