UPDATE: Two taken hospital after train collides with vehicle

Two people are in the hospital after a crash between a train and a vehicle in Chatham.

Emergency crews responded to the collision on Colbourne Street between Princess Street North and Prince Street North in Chatham just after 3:43 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police said the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A number of railway crossings in Chatham were blocked during the incident. The area was cleared after several hours.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
