UPDATE: ATV accident sends girl to hospital with life-threatening injuries

The Ontario Provincial Police report the condition of a 12-year-old girl hurt when she was hit by an All-Terrain-Vehicle has stabilized.

The girl is now at the Children's Hospital of Michigan after suffering life-threatening injuries in the mishap on Tuesday night in Colchester.

The OPP said the girl was with a group of young people riding ATVs on a trail located on a private property on Dunn Road.

Paramedics rushed her to the hospital around 6 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing and police said they will provide regular updates.
