Minor charged in youth's death

Chatham-Kent police say a young person has died, and another is charged with murder following a disturbance Friday night.

Police were called to a Richmond Street address at around 10:45 p.m. When officers arrived, a male youth was located with serious injuries.

The victim was rushed to hospital where lifesaving efforts were performed. He was later pronounced deceased.

Following an investigation, police arrested and charged another young male with second degree murder. He was remanded into custody with a future court date .

Police said due to the ages of the parties involved there will be no further information released at this time. The service also said this is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
