OPP still working to identify Highway 40 crash victim

Provincial police are putting out another call for tips after a pedestrian was found dead on Highway 40 just north of Chatham last month.

Investigators said they would like to speak with anyone who may have seen a white hatchback passenger vehicle heading north between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Highway 40 on September 19, 2022 or anyone who saw an individual walking along the highway between Pine Line and Eberts Line early that same morning.

Police said they still have not been able to confirm the identity of the person who died.

They are asking anyone with information on the case to contact OPP as soon as possible at 1-888-310-1122.
