Foggy conditions cancel school buses across CK

Heavy fog across the region Thursday morning has prompted the cancellation of school buses in Chatham-Kent.

All buses in all zones have been cancelled. However, schools remain open and buses will run Thursday afternoon to bring students home.

There will also be a two-hour bus delay for Walpole Island’s elementary school. School is open at the regular time of 8:20 a.m.

A fog advisory was issued late Wednesday night for Chatham-Kent, with near-zero visibility expected or occurring in some areas.

According to Environment Canada, the fog is expected to break up late Thursday morning.
