UPDATE: Power back on again in Ridgetown and Thamesville

After a dark, chilly start to the day for hundreds of residents in the Thamesville and Ridgetown, the power should be back on for most customers in those areas.

It was an up-and-down morning for customers in Ridgetown, specifically, with Entegrus and Hydro One reporting intermittent power outages in that area throughout the morning.

The power providers' outage maps showed that the power in Ridgetown was almost completely restored just after 8 a.m., then as of 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, the outages in Thamesville and Ridgetown reappeared and had grown to affect almost 3,000 customers. By 9 a.m., Hydro One wasn't reporting any more outages in the Ridgetown-area.

Entegrus sent out a message just after 11 a.m. saying that power had been restored to its customers in Thamesville and that any customers still experiencing outages should call 1-866-804-7325, option 2, to report.

As of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Hydro One's outage map was pretty much clear other than a couple of small pockets -- one in Charing Cross and one in an area just west of Morpeth.
