More windy weather on the way

We can expect gusty winds Saturday with the passage of a cold front.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Huron-Perth, Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex advising of south-southwest winds up to 70 kilometres an hour ahead of the cold front, and winds up to 80 km/h out of the west or northwest behind the cold front.

The mercury Saturday is expected to drop to 0 C, 32 F after rising to around 9 C, 48 overnight Friday.

The national weather agency said strong winds are likely early Saturday morning and through the afternoon.

We're advised that gusty winds can toss loose objects and cause injury or damage. Fallen tree branches and isolated power outages are also possible.
