A Chatham tattoo artist charged with assault and sexual assault is going to trial.
The case of Dairon Rivero, 33, will return to Chatham court March 10, 2023 to set a date for his trial. The court heard on Friday that lawyers need time to canvass witnesses.
Rivero was charged with assault and sexual assault in September of 2021 after a Chatham woman reported that she attended Loko Ink Tattoo Shop on Queen Street in Chatham for a scheduled tattoo appointment and alleged she was sexually assaulted during her appointment.
A publication ban is in effect preventing more information that could identify the complainant or witnesses.
