Chatham-Kent police check off a couple more names from their wanted list 

Police arrested a woman and a man on Sunday in Wallaceburg who were both wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court.

Officers caught up with a 26-year-old woman, who was wanted on several outstanding warrants, after she was pulled over while driving in the area of Albert Street just after 8:30 p.m.

She was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing on Monday.

A 35-year-old man was also arrested after police responded to a suspicious person complaint in the area of King Street just after 9 a.m.

Police learned he had an outstanding warrant and he was given a new court date before being released.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
