Firefighters quickly douse flames in Wallaceburg

There are no injuries to report after a fire broke out in a home on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg Wednesday night.

Chatham-Kent fire crews were called to the scene just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and were able to contain the fire to one room where firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames.

The cause is going down as accidental and there is no word on a damage estimate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
